I watched Anne O'Donnell for years before asking her to sit for a portrait. Seeing her dance in the studio I could never quite make out her personality. In person she looked sweet, too white-bread for my intimate portraits. During a rehearsal of Jacqulyn Buglisi's Table of Silence I realized my impressions were wrong and I asked her to work with me.
