Before a shoot I always have an idea about where I want it to go. I've had daydreams about the photographs I'm about to take. I've had imaginary conversations with the model. But the second I see her face in my doorway, my vision of the future photographs has changed. Her mood. Her voice. It doesn't exactly match my daydream. I follow her emotions into the light.
